It was a nightmare scenario for Cincinnati Bengals fans on Thursday afternoon as Pro Bowl quarterback and former LSU Heisman winner [autotag]Joe Burrow[/autotag] was carted off the field at training camp after suffering a non-contact injury.
After the practice session, Bengals coach Zac Taylor said that Burrow had injured his calf but declined to give more information.
If Burrow were unavailable for an extended period of time, it would be a major loss for a Bengals team that has made back-to-back playoff runs and is looking to compete for a Super Bowl this season after falling short in the AFC Championship Game last year.

The injury comes amid negotiations between Burrow and the Bengals on a long-term contract. He is currently under contract for two more seasons after Cincinnati exercised his fifth-year option in April.
