It felt like everything in episode three, “The Power Broker,” was moving predictably. But The Falcon and The Winter Soldier saved the episode’s biggest surprise for the final moments.
Ayo (Florence Kasumba) made her appearance — just before the credits rolled on the episode. Why did she show up? Well, she said it herself: “I’m here for Zemo.”
She wasn’t the only character to make a cameo. We also saw agent Sharon Carter (Emily VanCamp), who was an enemy of the state and fled to Madripoor, the fictional Southeast Asian city where most of the episode is set. Carter, however, is a fixture in the Captain America storyline, so it’s hardly shocking to see her in this episode, especially after she came up in dialogue in episode two. But Ayo? Now that’s an interesting twist.
