BREAKING: Autzen Stadium outdoor-mask policy rescinded for Oregon vs. Oregon State game

Fans will no longer be required to wear a mask outdoors at Autzen Stadium this weekend, according to an email sent to ticket holders.

With one game left in the regular season, the Oregon Ducks announced on Tuesday night that they will be rescinding the outdoor mask mandate for all guests on Saturday.

The Ducks will be playing their final game of the season at Autzen Stadium against the Oregon State Beavers. In an email sent to ticket holders, the Ducks stated that the mandate would be removed, while safety remains their top priority.

“The Oregon Health Authority has rescinded the outdoor mask mandate that all guests ages 5 and over must wear face coverings,” the email read. “While the mask mandate remains in effect for all indoor spaces in Oregon Athletics venues, they are now recommended rather than required for outdoor spaces throughout Autzen Stadium, per OHA and the University of Oregon Incident Management Team.”

Prior to this, all fans age 5 and up were required to wear masks at all times inside Autzen Stadium, unless they were eating or drinking. While the indoor mandate still stands in Oregon, it looks like the outdoor mandate is being lessened in Eugene for Duck games.
