Brandon Ingram compliments how Lonzo Ball and Zion Williamson handle media pressure

With a front-row seat of two of the most popular young players in the league, Brandon Ingram complimented how Lonzo Ball and Zion Williamson handle media.

In his three seasons with Lonzo Ball and coming into his second season with Zion Williamson, Brandon Ingram has had a front-row view of two of the most popular young players in the league.

Williamson entered the league as one of the most popular college prospects in recent history following his year at Duke. One of the few players that could match or potentially surpass him is Ball, whose entire family is as popular as any basketball family perhaps ever.

Despite the fame and popularity, both players have withdrawn personalities publicly. Instead, each has chosen to target their focus on their respective games. Ingram discussed his teammates on his appearance on JJ Redick’s’ “Old Man & the Three” podcast.

“…those guys have been through far more media than even me. Like Zion gets it like every single day…I feel like I’m in the same position but I like the way those guys handle it themselves. They come in the gym. Zo is kind of like me. He doesn’t say a lot but he comes in and he tries to get his work done and Zion, he does the exact same thing. I’ve never seen him bash the media or do something unordinary. He’s just in there working on his game just trying to get better every day in the gym.”

Ball and Williamson’s commitment to their games spell good things for the Pelicans’ future. Their respective levels of popularity also spells good things for the Pelicans’ future as well in other ways.
