Baltimore Ravens offensive lineman Bradley Bozeman will play in the 2020 NFL season, despite the option to opt out due to the ongoing pandemic.
Bozeman, a former versatile lineman for Alabama, was selected in round No. 6 of the 2018 NFL draft and started in 16 games last season. He is a vital piece to the Baltimore offensive line that helped protect the 2019 league MVP Lamar Jackson.
Numerous former members of the Crimson Tide in the NFL, among others around the league, have announced their decision to opt out. Players include, Andre Smith, Chance Warmack and Dont’a Hightower.
He has made the decision to play in the NFL for the 2020 season and not opt out after speaking with his wife, medical professionals and agent, Seth Katz.
“Nikki and I have spoken with my agent at length regarding the CBA and a player’ rights regarding opt outs, salaries, and contracts, and have remained in communication with trusted medical advisors including those at the Ravens. We look forward to an exciting 2020 season of football in Baltimore. Teams are built on mutual respect and I both respect and support another athlete’s right to make decisions for himself and his family. Nikki and I believe that playing football for the Baltimore Ravens this season is where I belong.”
