B/R says Stefon Diggs will make ‘significant impact’ on Bills

Bleacher Report says wide receiver Stefon Diggs will have a ‘significant impact’ on the Buffalo Bills.

The Buffalo Bills sent a significant slew of draft picks to the Vikings earlier this offseason to land wide receiver Stefon Diggs.

Bleacher Report now says that move is going to make a significant impact for the Bills in 2020. The outlet tabbed nine players suiting up for new teams next season who will make a big impact on their new teams. Diggs is the third player mentioned on this list, and here’s part of why B/R thinks so:

Quarterback Josh Allen’s passing numbers don’t look good. He’s thrown for 5,163 yards, 30 touchdowns and 21 interceptions with a 56.3 percent completion rate over his first two seasons, but the Wyoming product hasn’t played alongside a top-notch wide receiver. Stefon Diggs changes that.

Somehow, Diggs hasn’t achieved Pro Bowl honors, though he’s topped 1,000 yards in consecutive seasons and put together a strong 2019 campaign, logging 1,130 receiving yards and six touchdowns while averaging 17.9 yards per catch.

Diggs should elevate the Buffalo Bills’ 26th-ranked passing offense.

B/R goes on to point out that the Bills have had the sixth-most rushing attempts in the NFL since Allen took over. On the flip, Buffalo’s had the 28th and 24th most passing attempts in that time, respectively. While improving four slots in passing attempts from his first to second year, Allen’s total number of throws should continue to increase.

Not only because of Diggs, but Allen has another year of seasoning under him. Plus, the Bills showed they really want to lean on Allen in crunch time.

In last year’s 22-19 playoff loss to the Texans, it was a lot of Allen from Buffalo. He had 46 pass attempts to the 21 running back carries split by Devin Singletary and Frank Gore in that game. Plus Allen took off and rushed it himself on nine different occasions. Perhaps a sign of things to come?
