B/R lands Bills outside top-10 in power rankings

Buffalo Bills in Bleacher Report’s latest power rankings

The Bills have cracked the top-five or settled near it in many national power rankings. Bleacher Report gives the Bills some respect in their post-draft list, but Buffalo doesn’t land at the best of spots.

B/R ranks the Bills No. 11 on their latest power rankings. Quarterback Josh Allen will have to prove them otherwise as the outlet says the “big question” is Allen.

Here’s more of their breakdown on the Bills:

We don’t want to alarm you, but something unsettling is happening to the football landscape in 2020. It’s frightening, even.

The Buffalo Bills are the consensus favorites to win the AFC East. It’s been a while since we could write that with a straight face. But here we are.

The Bills were a playoff team in 2019, and they did a solid job acquiring more talent in the offseason. The additions of veteran Mario Addison and rookie A.J. Epenesa should add juice to the front seven. Josh Norman was a great low-risk flier in the secondary. And the trade that brought Stefon Diggs to Western New York gives Josh Allen the No. 1 receiver he lacked a season ago.

Overall, Buffalo’s roster looks set. There’s no glaring needs or holes, but the Bills certainly put Allen in a strong position to succeed. Now he has to do just that. Stefon Diggs and Co. helps, but Allen’s the man pulling the trigger. If his arm catches up to his legs as a mobile QB, the NFL should be scared.

While the Bills are outside the top-10, they’re still the top-dog in the AFC East via B/R’s rankings, and by a lot. The Patriots slip down to No. 20, just edging out the Dolphins and Jets at No. 22 and 24, respectively. The top-three in the NFL are the Chiefs, Ravens and 49ers in third.
