Boston’s Jayson Tatum talks losing Jaylen Brown for the season, his support

The St. Louis native was unconditional in his backing of Brown’s decision to get surgery.

For the first time since news broke of his season-ending wrist injury, the media got a chance to speak to Jaylen Brown’s teammates about their feelings and concerns regarding Brown’s recovery and pending extended absence after the 129 – 121 home loss to the Miami Heat on Tuesday night.

All-NBA small forward Jayson Tatum, a close friend of Brown’s, shared his thoughts on the Georgia native injury and decision to get surgery before the season was over, revealing Brown had actually contacted him ahead of the announcement to the general public to see how the Duke product felt about losing his companion on the wing.

“Obviously, it’s tough losing JB,” began Tatum.
