Star Boston Celtics small forward Jayson Tatum can be quite assertive and self-assured when he needs to be. When he names someone else as the active player he believes is the best in the NBA, it is pretty safe to assume he is not just gassing someone else up for an ulterior motive.
The same can be said for Cleveland Cavaliers wing Donovan Mitchell, and it was not too long ago that both sat down by ESPN’s Malika Andrews to answer this question.
Surprisingly, both 2023 Eastern Conference All-Stars answered the same player, adding even more credence to the claim of said player being the best in the league right now.
