Boston’s Jaylen Brown is eligible for a 5-year, $290m extension if he makes All-NBA this season

It’s safe to say the Georgia native has a little extra motivation this season.

Star Boston Celtics wing Jaylen Brown is eligible for a five-year, $290 million contract extension if he makes any of the three All-NBA teams or wins Defensive Player of the Year or Most Valuable Player this season. It’s safe to say the Georgia native has a little extra motivation — as if getting back to the 2023 NBA Finals and winning Banner 18 was not enough.

Everything we have seen from Brown this far this season indicates the Cal alumnus has every intention of collecting on that contract extension.

Chris Forsberg, Eddie House and Kendrick Perkins recently got together on NBC Sports Boston to talk about such an eventuality.

Take a look at the clip embedded above to hear what they had to say.
