NBA players have more than the physical damage of an injury to recover from when they get back on the court. On top of the more obvious physical aspect, there is a mental component.
Such was the case for veteran Boston Celtics big man Blake Griffin, whose career in the league nearly ended from the impact of a steady stream of injuries and the psychological burden those injuries created.
Speaking to the eponymous host of the “In Depth with Graham Bensinger” show, Griffin broke down how his experience with injury changed the course of his career — and the ways he discovered to get through the mental health issues he had as a result.
