Boston Celtics guard Jaylen Brown gives hamstring injury update

Boston Celtics guard Jaylen Brown provided an update on his hamstring injury Wednesday while speaking with reporters.

Boston Celtics guard Jaylen Brown said his hamstring injury is a grade 1 strain and he is not experiencing any pain, just tightness at this time, while speaking with reporters Wednesday. Brown said he felt a pull in his hamstring in the third quarter of the Celtics’ win over the Miami Heat on Nov. 4. He also said the one-to-two-week timeline is likely accurate, but he could be back before then if it heals quickly.

“It’s nothing severe, but anybody who’s had hamstring injury knows they can be uncomfortable,” Brown said. “So, I’m just working to get back so I can be able to be with the team.”

Brown has dealt with similar hamstring injuries in the past, but said this was the “lightest” one he has experienced and he is not “overly concerned about it.”

He also said the team doesn’t want it to become a reoccurring issue, so they are trying to be careful with it.
