Boston Celtics call up Jordan Walsh – could his NBA debut be imminent?

If the former Razorback hopes to earn a shot at more run with Boston (assuming he even gets on the floor), he will have to avoid making too many defensive mistakes.

Could we be about to see the long-awaited season debut of Boston Celtics rookie wing Jordan Walsh with the team? The Arkansas alum has been playing with the Maine Celtics up in Portland so far this season, but has yet to log a single minute with the parent club that drafted him last summer.

Now, with the Celtics set to face off with the San Antonio Spurs — a ball club that is not exactly trying to win games this season as a franchise — and a number of Boston’s usual high-minutes players looking like they could be scratches for rest, we might finally see Walsh take the floor.

If the former Razorback hopes to earn a shot at more run with Boston (assuming he even gets on the floor), he will have to avoid making too many defensive mistakes, as he likely won’t be expected to take anything but the most open of shots.

The hosts of the CLNS Media “How Bout Them Celtics!” podcast took a long look at what a Walsh debut might look like on a recent episode; check it out above!
