The Boston Bruins (24-13-2) travel to meet the Colorado Avalanche (29-8-3) Wednesday at Ball Arena. Puck drop is scheduled for 10 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Bruins vs. Avalanche odds and lines, and make our expert NHL picks, predictions and bets.
The Bruins are looking to rebound from a 5-3 loss Monday against the Anaheim Ducks. This will be the first road game for the B’s since Jan. 10 when they posted a 7-3 victory in Washington. The Bruins have won three in a row away from home, outscoring the opposition 17-6 in those outings.
The Avalanche won their seventh straight game when they blanked the Chicago Blackhawks 2-0 behind G Pavel Francouz. The Avs have outscored the opposition 24-9 during the win streak.

Bruins at Avalanche projected goalies
Linus Ullmark (14-5-0, 2.55 GAA, .915 SV%) vs. Darcy Kuemper (19-5-1, 2.63 GAA, .913 SV%, 1 SO)
Ullmark has been on fire in January as he’s won all seven of his starts. He has posted a 2.60 GAA and .901 SV% while allowing 3 or fewer goals in each of his eight appearances.
Kuemper and Francouz have also been on fire in January. Kuemper has won three straight starts, including a shutout against the Arizona Coyotes Jan. 15 and Francouz has won six starts, including a pair of shutouts.
Bruins at Avalanche odds, lines, picks and predictions
Prediction
Avalanche 4, Bruins 2
Money line
The AVALANCHE (-190) is a little more expensive than I generally care to play, but sometimes you have to make an exception. Ullmark has been hot, but the Bruins have been a bit too erratic lately. Colorado is playing much better hockey, and it is the preferred play here.
Against the spread
The AVALANCHE -1.5 (+133) are worth a roll of the dice, covering the puck line in four of their last six games during their win streak.
The Avs are also 7-0 in their last seven against Eastern Conference foes while going 44-9 in the last 53 as a home favorite. Play Colorado, as it has won six of the last seven in this series.
Over/Under
UNDER 6.5 (-115) is the lean, ever so slightly. The Under is 10-4-1 in the last 15 meetings in this series and is 5-0-1 in the last six overall for the Avalanche. Goaltending has been tremendous for Colorado lately, and it will continue in this one.
