Bol Bol recorded his first double-double in the G League on Wednesday

Nuggets two-way rookie Bol Bol recorded a season-high 16 points, 11 rebounds and two blocks in 20 minutes off of the bench.

Denver Nuggets two-way rookie Bol Bol recorded his first double-double of the season on Wednesday in the G League with the Windy City Bulls in a 115-105 win over the Fort Wayne Mad Ants.

Bol recorded a season-high 16 points, 11 rebounds and two blocks in 20 minutes off of the bench in the victory. He finished 6-of-12 from the field, missing his lone 3-point attempt in the contest.

The game marked his third appearance in the G League after making his debut with the Bulls last week. Bol is playing with Windy City since the Nuggets are one of two NBA teams without a direct G League affiliate.

The 7-foot-2 center was a prime target for lob passes from his teammates down in the paint and dominated at times down low. He has been touted as a player with touch that can also step back and hit shots from deep, though he has only attempted one 3-pointer in his three games so far.

The Nuggets assigned Bol to Windy City on Nov. 11 prior to his debut on Nov. 15, in which he recorded eight points, nine rebounds and four blocks in 18 minutes of work. So far, Bol looks to be healthy again and showing no signs of any lingering injury issues.

After suffering a severe foot injury last season at Oregon, the Nuggets are likely going to be cautious with Bol this year. He is said to have a heavy minutes restriction in the G League and is averaging 17 minutes per game as a result — he logged a season-high 20 minutes on Wednesday.

Bol is averaging 11.8 points, 7.7 rebounds and 2.7 blocks this season.

The Bulls play next on Friday against the Greensboro Swarm.
