Bobby Wagner gave fiery speech to start Seahawks practice this week

Hopefully, this speech is what the Seahawks needs to hear to help ensure the Rams are just this year’s “Week 1” team.

The Seattle Seahawks had almost as bad a Week 1 as you could get in this league. They were bullied and embarrassed by a rebuilding Los Angeles Rams team to the tune of 30-13. One of the biggest culprits in the loss was the fact the Seahawks defense simply could not stop the Rams offense on crucial third downs.

When it came to third down, Los Angeles was a shocking 11-of-17. On all but three drives, the Rams managed to score points. And on two of those three drives, Los Angeles was still in a position to score. One was a blocked field goal, the other was a missed one.

Needless to say, team captain Bobby Wagner was not thrilled at the performance on Sunday. Wagner took to the practice field on Wednesday and reminded the team why he is one of their leaders:

After the game on Sunday, the general vibe from members of the organization was shocked they got punched in the face. Hopefully, the game was a reminder this is the NFL, and teams want to win, no matter how they’re projected to do in the year.

Hopefully, this speech is what the Seahawks needs to hear to help ensure the Rams are just this year’s “Week 1” team.
