Bobby Haskins NFL player profile: Chicago Bears

Bobby Haskins will try to secure a practice-squad slot and see if he’ll get a chance to protect Justin Fields in Chicago.

Bobby Haskins will get a chance to make an NFL roster with the Chicago Bears. The 6-7, 295-pound offensive tackle from Fairfield, Connecticut, appeared in 45 games over the last four seasons at Virginia and started at left tackle for USC this past season. Haskins was a seven-game starter at left tackle for the Cavaliers in 2021 and a full-time starter in 2019. He was a reserve during an injury-plagued 2020 season.

Haskins appeared in eight games as a senior at the tackle positions (he was slowed early in the season while recovering from an offseason injury).

I believe if he stays healthy Haskins can be a practice squad lineman for the Bears, who struggled at the offensive lineman position the past couple years. Chicago needs options as it tries to give Justin Fields better protection. Haskins will try to become part of that effort.
