It’s become clear that patience is also needed when it comes to Bo Nix and the Heisman Trophy.

Early in the year, the Oregon Ducks’ quarterback was among the upper-middle tier of Heisman candidates, and he backed that up with very solid stats, leading the nation in completion percentage and among the top players in terms of TD-to-interception ratio.
After the Ducks dropped a game against the Washington Huskies, though, Nix’s odds plummeted, despite him having great stats in the performance.
Unsurprisingly, we just needed to exercise some patience and wait for Nix’s odds to jump back up
With another 3 total TD and zero turnover game last weekend against the Washington State Cougars, Nix is once again near the top of the Heisman board, and if he can keep it up going forward through Oregon’s tough schedule, there should be very little doubt that he will be in New York for the ceremony in December.
