There was a lot of buzz surrounding Bo Nix and a potential Heisman Trophy run before the start of the 2023 season. With the billboards that were going up in New York City and down in Dallas, Nix was the talk of the town and expected to be among the leaders of the Heisman race from start to finish.
Once the season started, Nix continually put up good numbers, but his Heisman buzz cooled off a bit, likely because of the emergence of both Washington QB Michael Penix Jr. and Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders.
Eventually, though, we knew Nix would get back into the conversation.
After a 4-touchdown performance in Week 5 against the Stanford Cardinal, it appears that the Oregon QB is right back in the middle of the race rather than lingering on the outskirts. He is now among the favorites to win the award once again, going into an incredibly important stretch of games that will see the Ducks take on the No. 7 Washington Huskies, No. 13 Washington State Cougars, and No. 18 Utah Utes.
Here’s a look at where Nix’s Heisman odds currently stand, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
