Bo Nix is near perfect against Packers

Bo Nix has been tremendous in the preseason.

There have been plenty of questions out of Denver as to who Sean Payton and the Broncos’ coaching staff will anoint the regular season week one starter, and the answer to that is becoming more and more clear with each week. The Broncos’ first-round pick Bo Nix has shown in the last two weeks of football to be nearly perfect in route to their 2-0 preseason start.

In his latest bout with the Green Bay Packers, Bo Nix completed 8 of 9 passes for 80 yards and a touchdown. Nix looked calm, collected, and as pro ready as he was touted coming out of Oregon. Combined with last week, Nix has only 7 incompletions on 30 attempts, which is obviously quite efficient.

Nix has clearly looked like the best quarterback on Denver’s roster and looks to be ready to go as the starter in week one. Whether or not he is crowned as said starter remains to be seen, but Nix has done everything in his power so far to secure that spot, especially with Jarrett Stidham and Zach Wilson looking as shaky as ever behind the rookie.
