A couple of weeks ago, we knew Oregon Ducks’ quarterback Bo Nix was sitting in a good spot when it came to the Heisman Trophy.
After the big win over the Utah Utes, Nix had jumped back into the conversation at the sportsbooks. With games against California and USC coming up — a pair of defenses that didn’t pose much of a threat — it seemed the opportunity was there for the fifth-year QB to boost his resume.
We told you to buy in on his odds if you hadn’t already, even though they dropped from plus-1300 to plus-600 after the statement win. I hope you listened because the value has completely left when it comes to placing a wager.
After four touchdowns and more than 400 yards passing against USC, Nix is now the heavy favorite to win the award, surpassing both Michael Penix Jr. and J.J. McCarthy. The latter has completely fallen off the board.
