Fans of EA Sports’ College Football video game franchise are ready to play this year’s title, College Football 25, which is set to release next week.
Several gamers will look to lead Auburn to a College Football Playoff berth while others look to rebuild a struggling program in dynasty mode. EA Sports will also sport an Ultimate Team feature which will allow gamers to build a team of current college football stars and legends of the sport.
Action Network released the results of a study that shows what features college football fans hope to see in the game, including playable college football legends. The poll shows that a majority of the 2,000 participants want to play with [autotag]Bo Jackson[/autotag] as part of their Ultimate Team.
Jackson earned 41%of the vote, becoming College Football 25’s “most-wanted legend.” The 1985 Heisman Trophy winner beat out the likes of Barry Sanders, Reggie Bush, Tim Tebow, and Joe Burrow.
“An impressive 41% of college football fans in the U.S. are hoping for his inclusion in the game,” Action Network’s Mads Godby writes. “This excitement is mirrored across various states, with North Dakota (100%), South Dakota (80%), Virginia (64%), Colorado (54%), Idaho (53%) and New York (52%) expressing high levels of enthusiasm for Jackson, selecting him as the most wanted legend.”
Jackson boasted an impressive three-sport college career. As a running back for the Auburn Tigers, Jackson rushed for 4,303 yards and 43 touchdowns from 1982-85. He took home the Heisman trophy in 1985 after rushing for a career-high 1,786 yards and 17 touchdowns.
EA Sports College Football 25 is set to be released on July 19.
