Before a knee injury cut his 2022 season short, Michigan running back Blake Corum was putting together a stellar campaign worthy of Heisman Trophy consideration.
After another dominant win over Ohio State, and a second straight Big Ten title, the undefeated Wolverines headed into the College Football Playoff as the No. 2 team in the country.
Without their star running back in the lineup, though, the Wolverines fell short of the ultimate goal with a 51-45 loss to No. 3 TCU in the CFP semifinal.
Corum may have been one of the first running backs off the board in the 2023 NFL draft, but instead, he’s coming back to help finish the job in Ann Arbor:

It’ll be tough for him to top what he did in 2022, but another big year from Corum should have Michigan right back in the national title race next year, and keep him among the top prospects at his position heading into the 2024 NFL draft.
