Bills WR Emmanuel Sanders has ‘week-to-week’ injury

#Bills WR Emmanuel Sanders has ‘week-to-week’ injury. Details:

The Buffalo Bills will likely be without wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders against the Carolina Panthers in Week 15 due to a knee injury.

Sanders might miss a bit longer than that as well.

According to Buffalo head coach Sean McDermott via video conference on Monday, Sanders is currently classified as “week-to-week”

In such a scenario, that likely means Sanders is out for at least the upcoming game. The coach confirmed that saying the will “most likely” not play.

Sanders suffered the injury in the first half of Buffalo’s Week 14 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. McDermott called it a sprain in Sanders’ knee.

The veteran was declared questionable then downgraded to out after halftime.

Sanders made only one catch before leaving for 25 yards. Without him, second-year pro Gabriel Davis filled in.

Davis ended up hauling in five catches for 43 yards and a touchdown.

McDermott said he saw “upside” in Davis when he was called upon for the injured veteran. Davis ended up playing in a season-high number of snaps.

In addition to Sanders, McDermott said Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen has a foot sprain. The QB was only classified as only having a “day-to-day” knock.

Bills Wire will provide any further injury updates throughout this upcoming week as they become available.
