NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that free agent tight end Greg Olsen is expected to make a decision on his football future by the end of this week.
The 13-year vet was released by the Carolina Panthers a few weeks back and has taken his time in regard to his football future. Along with a visit to the Bills, Olsen has visited at least the Redskins and Seahawks as well.
In addition, Olsen could be weighing a broadcasting future in his decision. During the XFL’s opening weekend, he lined up… in the broadcast booth as a color commentary man.
“We’ve been blown away by the amount of teams that have called. We got those three visits set for right now,” Olsen previously said. “I’m just gonna go gather as much information as I can, see what opportunities are out there, see what different situations are out there. And then I can lay it all on the table and decide what’s best.”
During his career in Carolina, Olsen built connections to both the Bills and Redskins, via both front offices after Ron Rivera joined Washington this offseason.
