The Bills and Steelers are set for a Wild-Card clash at Highmark Stadium.
The two teams are a pair of the NFL’s hottest clubs. The Bills (11-6) won the AFC East after ripping off five-straight wins. The Steelers (10-7) have taken three in a row to sneak into the postseason.
In terms of their own team, the Bills are keeping themselves a modest mindset despite their recent successes.
“You want to peak at the right time. This football team, we’ve still got our best ball to play but we’re trending in the right direction,” quarterback Josh Allen said via video conference.
Receiver Stefon Diggs echoed a similar message. Perhaps the Bills aren’t a “hot” team… but they’ve won.
“I’m not going to say we got hot at the right time, but we started winning at the right time,” Diggs said.
Considering the Steelers are doing just as well, staying grounded could be the right play by the Bills.
