Defense

Notes:

  • Lorenzo Alexander tied his season-low in terms of snaps played in a game at 35 percent.
  • Attributing to that was a ton of slot cornerback Taron Johnson, who played in 90 percent of snaps.
  • Levi Wallace played in a season-low 48 percent of snaps while Kevin Johnson, who replaced him at times, played in a season-high 52 percent of snaps on defense vs. the Dolphins.
  • A week after playing the most snaps on the defensive line (77%) defensive end Trent Murphy dropped to 49 percent of snaps. Shaq Lawson saw 62 percent of snaps.
  • Ed Oliver got back into the fold more. After playing 34 percent and 33 percent of snaps the past two weeks, respectively, he saw 51 percent against the Dolphins.
  • Star Lotulelei, who saw 71 percent of snaps in Week 10, dropped down to 42 percent of snaps played, only playing more than Corey Liuget (28%) in the middle of the defensive line.

Special teams

Notes:

  • Due to injury, Siran Neal, usually a top-tier snap count special teamer, dipped down to 24 percent of snaps played.
  • Senorise Perry jumped up to the top-tier of special teams snaps played after seeing the second-tier snaps last week.
  • Robert Foster did see playing time on special teams with 64 percent of snaps on special teams.
  • Despite his rise in defensive snaps, Kevin Johnson continued his role on special teams, once again playing in the second-most special teams snaps played grouping.
