The Buffalo Bills have another new quarterback in town and he’s a familiar face from the AFC East.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Bills have signed Mike White to their practice squad. The decision curiously comes after roster cut downs in the NFL:

Teams across the league had to be down to 53 players by 4 p.m. on Tuesday. In order for the Miami Dolphins to get there, White was released.
To get down to 53 players themselves, the Bills released recently signed quarterbacks Anthony Brown and Ben DiNucci. For some, seeing DiNucci go appeared to be a sign that Mitchell Trubisky might be recovered from his knee injury by opening day, so a third quarterback might not be needed.
Signing White indicates that another QB was needed.
White, 29, was a fifth-round pick of the Dallas Cowboys in 2018. White eventually made his NFL debut when he skipped to the New York Jets. In two seasons with the Jets, he started seven games and went 2-5, completing 62.2% of his passes for 2,145 yards with eight TDs and 12 interceptions.
Two of those came against Buffalo, but both ended up as Bills victories.
While in Miami, White only held a backup role.
