Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott has taken on a new title. This time, it’s in a league-wide capacity.
McDermott has been named a member of the NFL Competition Committee. The group reviews all aspects of the game and is responsible for reviewing and presenting proposed rule changes.
In addition to McDermott, Los Angeles Rams coach Sean McVay is the other new member of the committee.
McDermott said via statement:
“First and foremost, it’s a great honor to be thought of in this light. It comes with great responsibility to continue to grow this game that so many others have done for so many years.”
The Competition Committee uses feedback provided from surveys given to each of the 32 NFL clubs to prepare agenda items.

The committee convenes next week in Indianapolis to continue its annual review of all aspects of the game, including discussion of potential rules changes, player safety, officiating, & the further integration of technology.
