Advantage: 2017
In 2019, the Bills had an improved line. But after this group in 2017, the drop off was so bad that anything would’ve been better than 2018. Don’t let that clout your judgement. Buffalo’s O-line was improved last year, but average. The group McDermott & Co. inherited had a couple of Pro Bowlers in Eric Wood and Richie Incognito and a John Miller that played well next to them. Losing those guys are a big reason why Shady McCoy eventually dropped off. Ryan Groy & Vlad Ducasse are pretty interchangeable with guys like Spencer Long and Evan Boehm as well.
