The Buffalo Bills have retained defensive tackle DaQuan Jones thanks to a two-year contract extension he has signed with the team.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Jones has inked a contract worth $16 million, with $10.5M guaranteed and incentives worth up to $18M:

Jones, 32, appeared in 23 games for Buffalo over the past two years. He’s started all of them. Last season, he was held to seven games played including two postseason outings.

Jones originally left the Carolina Panthers during the 2022 offseason and signed in Buffalo.

In Week 5 of last year, he sustained a pectoral injury that kept him out until just before the end of the regular season. He ended up playing only 16% of the defensive snaps for the Bills in 2023.

In those seven outings during the regular season, he notched 2.5 sacks, 16 tackles, including four for loss. Pro Football Focus graded Jones among the best defensive tackles in the NFL last year with a 86.0 overall mark.
