Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen did not make the 2022 Pro Bowl originally. Rather, he was named an alternate for the game.
The expected had happened and Allen was invited to play in the All-Star even. However, he’s not going to.
Via ESPN’s Christ Mortensen, Allen released a message announcing late last week he does not intend to play in this year’s game. He cited health as a reason why:

In addition to Allen, another alternate, Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, also declined to play. That leaves Los Angeles Chargers QB Justin Herbert and the Kansas City Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes as the two left.
Allen has already participated in two Pro Bowls the past two seasons.
