Just hours before the Buffalo Bills take the field against the New York Jets in Week 10, one key player on defense will be unavailable.
The team announced on Sunday that defensive tackle Star Lotulelei has ended up on the Reserve/COVID-19 list. In a corresponding move, defensive tackle Brandin Bryant has been called up from the practice squad:

Still on the Reserve/COVID-19 list is quarterback Mitchell Trubisky. Last week, quarterback Jake Fromm and wide receiver Tanner Gentry, both on the practice squad were on the designation as well.
Both have since been removed from it.
Lotulelei’s loss with hurt the Buffalo defense down the middle in particular this week because of another player the team will be without. Starting middle linebacker Tremaine Edmunds will also miss the Jets meeting due to injury.
Replacing Edmunds will be AJ Klein in the lineup. While Bryant has been called up from the practice squad, look for the Bills to use more Harrison Phillips in Lotulelei’s spot instead of Bryant.
