Bills’ Leonard Floyd on 2.5 sacks vs. Jets: ‘I knew what I could bring’

With so many big games for the #Bills, don’t forget about Leonard Floyd’s output vs. the #Jets:

For good reason, the effort Bills pass rusher Leonard Floyd had was overshadowed against the Jets in Week 11.

After a hectic week for the offense following the dismissal of coordinator Ken Dorsey, the 32 points put up in the 32-6 final stood out in a big way… especially since that was the most the Jets have allowed since 2021.

Defensively, cornerback Rasul Douglas did more of the same. Not only did he record the Bills’ first interception since Week 4, he had two of them and recovered another fumble.

But don’t forget about the work Leonard Floyd put in. His 2.5 sacks were just as impressive–Not to mention his two tackles for loss as well.

Head coach Sean McDermott emphasized needing everyone to do their job to get a result against the Jets (4-6)… and Floyd played his part.

“We came in here and know we were going to need a team effort,” McDermott said via video conference. “We hadn’t really played team football over the last X amount of weeks.”

Floyd’s output now puts him at a team-high 9.5 sacks this season. His work has really gone according to plan for the Bills (6-5). The hope was Floyd would make it so the Bills didn’t miss Von Miller’s pass rushing as much as he recovers from a serious knee injury… and that’s exactly what’s happening.

Floyd knew that was the idea when he signed this offseason, too… and he’s not surprised at all in himself.

“I knew what I could bring,” Floyd said.
