#Bills’ Khalil Shakir on 81-yard touchdown: ‘Felt like I was moving in slow motion’

The top highlight for the Bills against the Jets in Week 12 was undoubtedly Khalil Shakir’s touchdown.

En route to the 32-6 win, the Bills (6-5) got an 81-yard catch-and-run from Shakir which impressed everyone on his team.

“He made a heck of a play. The effort getting to the end zone,” quarterback Josh Allen said via video conference.

Along with complimenting Shakir’s efforts to take the ball to the house, Allen noted the efforts by others on that rep. Shakir did the same.

Both Allen and Shakir mentioned how others such as Stefon Diggs and Dalton Kincaid ran their routes and distracted the Jets (4-6) defense. It helped Shakir make it all the way down the field for the touchdown which brought the score to 32-6 and cemented the win.

“17 put it right on the money. That’s the O-line allowing him to get that ball out, so I appreciate them. That’s everybody else running they routes so I could get open. I appreciate everybody,” Shakir said. “Just caught it and kept running. Cut back and I felt like I was moving in slow motion.

“Shoot, then I ended up in the end zone.”
