Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen took in the PGA Championship on Tuesday. He didn’t have to go very far as Allen and a group of teammates went down the thruway to Rochester’s Oak Hill Country Club where the event is held.

The Bills took time to meet local kids at the event and answered some questions. Allen will likely be pulling for a few different golfers that he knows on a personal level, but he revealed one of them: Rory McIlroy.

“I’d love to meet him. I’m a big fan of his,” Allen said via the Buffalo News. “Been a big fan for a long time. Would love to see him get back to his winning ways. That would be pretty fun.”

While a Northern Ireland native, McIlroy has ties to Rochester. His wife is from the area and because of that, McIlroy said there is a bit of Bills fandom in him. He also tossed a compliment Allen’s way at the tournament.

“It certainly makes it easier to root for the Bills when Josh Allen is throwing the football,” McIlroy said.

And perhaps McIlroy does give Allen and the fans in Rochester something to cheer about this week. There’s at least a decent chance of it, according to oddsmakers.

At +1600 odds, McIlroy has the third-best chance of taking home the 105th PGA Championship per Draft Kings.
