Josh Allen was feeling particularly down on Monday evening.
Allen had a poor showing in his team’s 22-16 loss to the Jets in overtime. In total, Allen gave the ball away four times.
Even with Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers leaving the game due to injury, Allen gave the Bills little chance with those sort of numbers. It’s an issue Allen acknowledged he was trying to leave in 2022.
“Trying to force the ball,” Allen said. “Same s—, same plays, different day.”
Even Bills coach Sean McDermott couldn’t really sugarcoat this one.
“He knows he can play better,” McDermott said via video conference. “Josh is hard on himself. Unfortunately you have to be reminded of taking care of the football sometimes with a loss. We made it awfully hard on ourselves tonight.”
