Bills’ Josh Allen: Opportunity vs. Chiefs is ‘something you dream about’

Allen wants what the #Chiefs have had:

The Buffalo Bills (and many other teams) want the success the Kansas City Chiefs have had.

The difference is that the Bills have an opportunity to achieve that. But they realize the club currently in between them and reaching their goals is that exact side, the Chiefs.

It’s easy for Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen to admit it: He’s envious of their successes.

“They’ve been at the top of the mountain. They know what it takes to get there. We’ve yet to do that,” Allen said. “As a competitor, as a player, to be in a situation like this is something you dream about.”

While a motivator, the Bills don’t want this to become a distraction too. Buffalo head coach Sean McDermott is trying to instill that into his team ahead of Sunday’s divisional round matchup against Kansas City.

“They’re a phenomenal football team with a phenomenal quarterback and some phenomenal players as well. All that, we can’t control, but what we can control is us and where we’re trying to get to and our level of play. And that’s where our focus needs to be,” McDermott said via video conference.
