Bills’ Josh Allen explains importance of getting Stefon Diggs involved

#Bills’ Josh Allen explains importance of getting Stefon Diggs involved:

Bills receiver Stefon Diggs had his lowest output of work in 2022 against the Bears.

The Bills (12-3) won, 35-13, but even when things were close Diggs couldn’t get involved much. The Bears (3-12) held Diggs to two catches and 26 yards.

That has become a bit of a trend for the No. 1 wideout in recent weeks.

In his last three games combined, Diggs has 123 receiving yards.  In Week 13 against the Patriots, Diggs had 92 alone.

Every game isn’t going to be a big outing. Many would expect one of those three to go…better.

Last month, Diggs did make it known he wants the ball. Against the Browns, he was seen visibly upset on the sideline when he didn’t have a catch until just before halftime. After the contest, Diggs admitted that.

“As a receiver you want the ball,” Diggs said. “I’d be more worried if a receiver didn’t want the ball”

But it takes two. Quarterback Josh Allen is a factor as well. He’s the one throwing the ball, after all.

Allen did admit getting the ball to Diggs is a priority. However, Allen explained that there’s a method to it.

“Obviously, I wanna get No. 14 more involved,” Allen said. “The last thing I want to do is force it to someone when it’s not there.”
