Bills safety Jordan Poyer is sitting out OTAs (organized team activities) in an effort to get a contract extension done.
That doesn’t mean he’s not willing to help out.
In wake of the mass shooting in Buffalo, despite staying away from the field, Poyer is not removing himself from the Buffalo community.
Along with ECMC, Poyer held a charity event at The Dome in Williamsville this past week. While there, he did comment that he’s still ready to go in terms of football.
Poyer also mentioned, like Micah Hyde’s softball game, he still wanted to go through with his event in an effort support the 5/14 survivors fund.
Check out Poyer’s full thoughts via WIVB-TV below:
.@J_poyer21 partnered with ECMC to host a virtual golf tournament at The Dome on Wehrle where all of the proceeds are being donated to 5/14 survivors fund. He said it was important for him to support the community. As far as his contract side of things he's staying 'optimistic'. pic.twitter.com/fgaQkz37Hr
