Buffalo Bills cornerback Josh Norman suffered an injury during the team’s practice on Thursday. He left the session early, which was the first “live” practice for the team this training camp. After three days of light-physical activity during practices, full-on tackling was part of the process for the first time this offseason, and that got to Norman, evidently.
According to various reports from the practice, Norman intercepted a Josh Allen pass intended for Stefon Diggs and on the tackle, Norman was hurt. The Buffalo News reports that Norman walked off after the injury with trainers but did not return from the sideline where he rode a bike.
The Bills signed Norman this offseason to compete with incumbent start Levi Wallace for the team’s No. 2 cornerback job across from recent All-Pro Tre’Davious White. As of now, nothing official from the team on the 32-year-old’s status after leaving the field.
In a bit of more positive news, the Bills did see Quinton Jefferson return to practice. He missed one session due to a foot injury. Jefferson had ankle surgery last offseason after his former team, the Seahawks, were bounced from the playoffs. His return signals something less serious, though.
Linebacker Vosean Joseph also practiced Thursday, but this time without the red non-contact jersey he was previously wearing.
Here’s are the carryovers from the Bills’ injury list on Wednesday which remained the same:
Did not practice
- DT Ed Oliver (hip)
- FB Patrick DiMarco (neck)
- WR Robert Foster (concussion)
PUP LIST
- TE Tommy Sweeney (foot)
OUT FOR EXTENDED PERIOD
- OL Jon Feliciano (chest)
Notes: Bills head coach Sean McDermott said on Thursday that Oliver, who’s missed four practices, could return soon… Foster has missed three-straight practices… Feliciano is expected to several regular season games…
