The Buffalo Bills (7-6) head into Week 15 following a critical win over the Kansas City Chiefs that was imperative for them to win if it wanted to make the playoffs.
With the way the AFC playoff picture is right now, the Bills most likely need to run the table and get some help if they want to get into the postseason.
Heading into Wednesday, Buffalo has a 49 percent chance of making the playoffs, according to a recent article by the New York Times. In the playoff simulator tool that NYT has, the percentage of the Bills making the playoffs is based on 320,000 simulations of the next four weeks.
Over the next four weeks, Buffalo will be facing the Dallas Cowboys, the Los Angeles Chargers, the New England Patriots, and the Miami Dolphins in Week 18 to end the regular season. The next matchup against the Cowboys will be a tough one for the Bills as the Cowboys are arguably the hottest team in the NFL right now at 10-3 overall.
According to the simulator, if Buffalo beats Dallas, the Bills chances of making the playoffs skyrocket from almost 50 to 64 percent, showing how much the victory will do for the Bills’ postseason goals.
The regular season finale will be pivotal as well as Buffalo is competing with Miami to come out of the AFC East as the division winner.
