The Bills’ social media staff decided to have a good time with Rasul Douglas’ recent arrive to the team.
On Tuesday, the Bills (5-3) landed the veteran cornerback in a deadline-deal trade with the Packers. In quick fashion, he was at the team’s practice on Wednesday… but he didn’t suit up.
Make no mistake, he’s healthy. He just couldn’t practice because of NFL rules.
As it goes in every sport, when a team acquires a new player, they need to pass a physical. By the time Douglas arrived at One Bills Drive, his new teammates were already out on the field working out and he hadn’t yet taken his physical.
After practice, he did. But during the workout, he was just hanging out on the sideline like an injured player.
Enter the Bills… who listed Douglas on Wednesday’s injury report. Under the reasoning why?
Douglas: “Just got here.”
Touche, Bills.
