The Buffalo Bills would’ve had a second player back in the fold had they made it past the Kansas City Chiefs… at least according to the player.
In the locker room following the Bills’ 27-24 loss to the Chiefs, linebacker Terrel Bernard said he would have returned from his ankle injury if Buffalo advanced. Now receiver Gabe Davis has followed suit.
Davis told reporters during the team’s locker cleanout day that he planned to play against the Baltimore Ravens. Davis had previously suffered a knee injury in Buffalo’s season finale against the Miami Dolphins.
Naturally, players are often overly positive, but who knows. There is a chance he could have been back but we’ll never know now. There was a report that indicated Davis’ knee injury was less serious than previously thought, so Davis’ update does match that.
That Dolphins matchup might have been Davis’ final one with the Bills, too. He’s set to be a free agent this March.
