Bills’ first pick could be involved in virtual 2020 draft experience

The Buffalo Bills don’t have a first-round pick after trading for Stefon Diggs. But the Bills’ first pick could actually have a chance to be involved in this year’s event.

With the 2020 NFL Draft going on as scheduled, the league announced it will use the event as an opportunity to raise money for six organizations that are working to help those impacted by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

In doing so, the league announced that prospects will participate in the draft broadcast which with be conducted virtually for all teams as well.

During a typical draft, a handful of prospects will be on hand at the event to walk across the stage. With things completely changing due to the coronavirus pandemic, the prospects will be on a video of sorts instead.

The Buffalo Bills don’t have a first-round pick after trading for Stefon Diggs. But the Bills’ first pick could actually have a chance to be involved in this year’s event. That’s because the league announced that a total of 58 prospects will be involved in the draft broadcast.

Buffalo’s first pick is No. 54 overall, so doing a little math, there will without a doubt be, at minimum, four prospects left out there to be involved in the draft broadcast when Buffalo is on the clock.

Of course, the Bills do not need to pick from those players and neither does any other team. But if that happens, it’s a possibility of  something that Bills Mafia can look forward to.
