The Bills beat the Ravens in the AFC Divisional round and while it’s something Buffalo couldn’t control, no one really liked seeing what happened to Baltimore quarterback Lamar Jackson.
On the final play of the third quarter, Jackson tracked down a bad snap and ran backward. He eventually was knocked by Bills defenders Tremaine Edmunds and Trent Murphy with clean hits. However, Jackson’s head caught the turf and he had to exit the game.
According to Ravens Wire, Jackson did fly back to Baltimore last night with his teammates. He didn’t return to the game though, a contest which went down as a 17-3 final.
Always humble, fans of the Bills did what they’re known best for in recent years. They donated to Jackson’s favorite charity, Blessings in a Backpack, as a way to send well-wishes to the QB. As mentioned, Western New York is happy their Bills won, but nobody wanted to see that.
Some folks suggested donating in $8 increments because of Jackson’s number. As of early Sunday afternoon, per WKBW-TV in Buffalo, the charitable organization received near $75,000 in donations in Jackson’s name.
Further donations can be made on Blessings in a Backpack here, but regardless, it’s already a fantastic gesture from The City of Good Neighbors.
Thank you, #BillsMafia https://t.co/oNjgDn1LhD
