The Bills were without tight end Dawson Knox in their preseason loss to the Steelers. According to reports at the time, Knox was out on the field for warmups and then sat out the contest. Later on, his status was called day-to-day.
That turned out to be true, with a slight asterisk.
By Tuesday, Knox was announced as a full participant at practice by the team. But the Bills tight end has some extra precaution on his hand.
Knox was designated to have an injured pinky finger. While Knox did work out with his teammates, he still had to have his pinky taped to his ring finger in order to do.
If Knox continues to need that to take part in practices throughout this week, it’s unlikely he plays in the Bills’ preseason finale against the Bears.
