The Buffalo Bills made a minor roster move involving their practice squad on Monday. The team announced that cornerback Lafayette Pitts was signed to their taxi unit.
Pitts should be a familiar name to Buffalo, as he’s had a couple of tenures with the team, mostly contributing on special teams. Pitts, 28, spent parts of 2017 and 2018 on the Bills’ 53-man roster.
Just earlier in 2020 in October, Pitts had another workout with the Bills and signed to the team’s practice squad for a few weeks. He was then released to make room for cornerback Daryl Worley.
However, Worley was signed off Buffalo’s practice squad last week as the Raiders picked him up. Because of that, the Bills had an open spot for Pitts to sign to their practice squad and no corresponding move was needed.
