If you subscribe to the idea that it takes two to tango, there was never a chance that the Bills were going to trade Stefon Diggs.
Bills general manager Brandon Beane joined the Pat McAfee Show on Tuesday. He stated during his interview that there was never a team that came in to ever try and trade for Diggs.
“No. No one called on Diggs. I think people know that he’s ours,” Beane said. “He was never asking (for a trade).”
Due to Diggs’ contract, it was always very unlikely he would be moved by the Bills this offseason, regardless of off-field issue. Based on Beane’s comments, the NFL likely knew that was the case because an offer never even came in.
Beane’s full thoughts can be found in the clip below:
"Stefon Diggs never asked to be traded and it was truly never an issue..
We just needed to get in a room and talk about how last season finished and get on the same page" ~ Brandon Beane #PMSLive pic.twitter.com/8aPKruDWCm
