Bills at Dolphins: Taron Johnson already ruled out due to injury

#Bills at #Dolphins: Taron Johnson already ruled out due to injury:

The injury news was both good and bad for the Buffalo Bills following their season-opening win against the Arizona Cardinals.

Following the 31-28 win, Buffalo head coach Sean McDermott announced that quarterback Josh Allen (left hand) will play in Week 2 against the Miami Dolphins on Thursday. The same cannot be said for cornerback Taron Johnson.

Johnson, 28, sustained a forearm injury on the opening drive of the season for the Bills defense. He did not return to action and will not in Miami, either.

“With Taron, I don’t know his timeline on when he’ll be back,” McDermott said via video conference on Monday. “So, we’re still doing some further research on that.”

When Johnson departed against the Cards, Cam Lewis came in at nickel cornerback.

Lewis notched nine tackles against Arizona and was praised for his efforts. It’s anticipated that Lewis will start in place of Johnson against the Dolphins.

On Johnson, McDermott did not indicate a timeline of how much time he will miss.

McDermott’s full injury analysis can be found in the WKBW-TV clip below:
